Paulo started skimboarding in 1989 and now competes in numerous contests in the U.S. and Mexico at the professional level. He was ranked as the top skimboarder in 2005 and 2006 and has always enjoyed teaching skimboarding. He started the Solag Skim School in 2004 to pass on his knowledge and love of the sport to the next generation. Paulo, considered an ambassador of the sport because of his contest achievements, media exposure, character, and progressive skim talent is a well-qualified instructor. He has refined his teaching over the years and is passionate about spreading his knowledge of skimboarding. Paulo graduated from Chapman University in 2006 with a degree in Liberal Studies and Spanish Language emphasis. He is currently pursuing a teaching career while working part time in a family real estate business. He is committed to the growth and development of skimboarding. He combines over 15 years of skimboarding experience with the teaching skills obtained in school to offer a unique blend of instruction.
