Q. What is the best air pressure setting for a 170lber...I have it at 42lbs right now, should I go more pounds to jump higher? also,..can i leave the air in for a long time?
DePiro (4/8/2010 6:18 PM)
A. Of course - you can take the pressure up to as much as your legs can take, but try 50 psi, and you'll definitely get some more air. If you can bottom it out at 50 psi, try 60 psi. It's good to find a pressure where you can bounce your highest with the stick not quite bottoming out. And we suggest storing the stick without air, and transporting without air, but most of my sticks have been under pressure for longer that I care to admit! So, they are fine to leave air in...

Q. what happens if you dont do the tapp tast??
st1ck007 (3/5/2010 2:56 PM)
A. Nothing - it's just a simple way to ensure that the seal is "seated" in the piston properly and that the stick is holding air properly. Let us know how you like it!
PogoBrian
Q. i just got my v3 stealth today and did the tap test, and started jumping is there anything else i need to do
st1ck007 (3/5/2010 2:45 PM)
A. Bounce.

Q. Why does a vurtego cost so much?
supermankid (2/7/2010 12:31 PM)
A. The Vurtego V3 is the best pogo stick on the planet, and is hand made with the best materials available in our Southern California workshop.
PogoBrian
Q. Hello! I'm looking for a Vurtego V3 but I don't know a shop/ onlineshop here in germany/ europe that sells your products. Can you tell me one? ...because I don't want to pay 80$ for shipping!
Cheburashka (1/27/2010 1:32 PM)
A. For now - you'll have to pay for shipping! Trust me, it's well worth it.

Q. do i have to be able to do backflips and frontflips to get sponsored
PaleRider34 (12/3/2009 2:10 PM)
A. Back flips and front flips are pretty important, but we also love big aggressive street lines as well; big gaps, big stalls, jumping big stuff - and getting creative with the natural terrain and urban environment...

Q. I wegh 85 lbs. and 5 ft. tall. is a vurtego for me?
PaleRider34 (12/3/2009 1:25 PM)
A. You'd definitely want a Small - and surely you'll grow into it. If you've never pogoed before, you might want to start with more of a kid stick - but if you're pretty good on a regular pogo stick, a Vurtego is definitely for you! http://www.vurtegopogo.com
PogoBrian
Q. I am 12. could I get sponsored by you?
feteru (11/19/2008 3:42 PM)
A. Send us some video to check out! Just post a link to a YouTube clip - and we'll be sure to check it out...
PogoBrian
Q. Can you be sponsered by vurtego?... if so how?... what are the benifets?...
Jordanfor (7/29/2008 10:13 PM)
A. You can definitely be sponsored by Vurtego if you have the big tricks - back flips, front flips, big air gaps, etc... Benefits are all your sticks and gear for free and help traveling to events, etc., along with inclusion in videos and demos.

Q. Is it normal that my pogo stick looses air, and after the first lubrication the oil comes out of the breather holes?
hansiepower (7/23/2008 7:04 AM)
A. It is normal for your pogo stick to lose a little bit of air here and there, but if it's got a major leak, you may need to do some troubleshooting over the phone - 866.VURTEGO. The lubricant may drip a little out of the breather holes, especially if you may have added a little more lube than necessary - just wipe it off and keep bouncing!!
PogoBrian
Q. i feel scared to pull of tricks what should i do
pogoman (1/24/2008 4:53 PM)
A. Start off with a one hander, then a one footer, then a no footer, etc... Start by taking them off for just a split second at first, then work your way into more distance, and bigger tricks!
PogoBrian
Q. When will the new stick for 2008 be coming out?
Snooks (1/5/2008 9:31 AM)
A. The Vurtego Aluminum sticks should be ready by Christmas!
PogoBrian
Q. Do you recommend knee pads? Can wearing knee pads make it harder to pogo?
Neo (7/14/2007 5:33 PM)
A. I would always recommend more pads; you can't protect yourself enough! I can also tell you though, that I never have worn knee pads, and I've never had any knee problems... I don't think they'd get in your way, and they might even make it easier to do no handed bouncing... Thanks for the question! Brian

Q. Is there going to be a new high preformance pogo stick?
TyGuy (9/9/2006 9:05 AM)
A. There will be new sticks coming out every year - and performance will cintinue to improve. But the basic technology may not change again for quite a while. Air springs definitely seem to be the best technology for now... Brian

Q. Will pogo sticking one day be as big as skateboarding?
razamataz (5/17/2006 4:50 PM)
A. Probably not, but of course it is possible. Skateboarding has a pretty big head start! In the same way that a younger brother rarely catches up and passes an older brother in the aging process, pogo sticking will likely never pass skateboarding, especially since skateboards are also a great way to get to school, or to roll down to your friend's house. Pogo sticking makes a fine little brother though.

Q. How do I bounce higher?
Anonymous (5/16/2006 8:40 AM)
A. To bounce higher you will need to learn to 'push off' as the pogo stick rebounds off the ground. This will add the force you are applying to the force of the pogo stick spring to give you increased height.

Q. Where are the best public places to go pogo sticking?
Anonymous (5/16/2006 8:40 AM)
A. Pogo Sticks generally need hard surfaces to work well. Most public parks have concrete walkways, and some also have concrete stairs and low walls that can be used for advanced tricks -- Wear you helmet!

Q. Can you call pogo sticking a sport?
Anonymous (5/12/2006 5:49 PM)
A. Pogo sticking is most definitely a sport, although the most recent evolution of aggressive free riding, or XPogo, is still in the process of defining itself. You will see a similar progression with pogo sticking that we've seen with Mountain Biking and Snowboarding over the past 10-15 years.
